We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic intervention for individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The Speech Therapist will work closely with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans and deliver effective therapy to help clients reach their communication goals. Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough evaluations of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observation.
Diagnose communication disorders, including articulation, phonology, language delay, voice disorders, stuttering, and aphasia.
Treatment Planning & Implementation:
Develop and implement personalized therapy plans based on the assessment results and the client’s needs.
Provide speech therapy for individuals with a variety of conditions such as developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, and more.
Implement therapeutic strategies to improve speech production, language comprehension, fluency, and other communication skills.
Utilize a range of techniques including articulation exercises, language-building activities, and swallowing therapy.
Collaboration & Consultation:
Collaborate with teachers, parents, physicians, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to therapy.
Provide guidance and education to family members and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic techniques at home.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for school-aged clients when necessary.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of client progress, treatment plans, and any adjustments to therapy.
Prepare reports for doctors, insurance companies, or educational institutions as required.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology.
Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and meet licensing requirements.
