The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in continental cuisine and a strong commitment to quality and presentation. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff management while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in developing and executing a diverse menu focused on continental cuisine.
Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation and presentation techniques.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
Maintain inventory and assist in ordering supplies and ingredients.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning, costing, and portion control.
Handle special dietary requests and ensure customer satisfaction.
Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Assist in the development and implementation of new recipes and cooking techniques.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant, with a focus on continental cuisine.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
