Reports to: Executive Chef
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in continental cuisine and a strong commitment to quality and presentation. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff management while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in developing and executing a diverse menu focused on continental cuisine.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation and presentation techniques.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
- Maintain inventory and assist in ordering supplies and ingredients.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning, costing, and portion control.
- Handle special dietary requests and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new recipes and cooking techniques.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant, with a focus on continental cuisine.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for culinary arts and continuous improvement.
