Job Summary :
We seek an experienced Senior Snowflake Developer to lead our data warehousing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, data architecture, and data integration. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions on the Snowflake platform, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Data Architecture & Modeling: Design and implement data models in Snowflake, optimizing for performance, storage efficiency, and ease of use.
- Data Integration: Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake, using tools like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune Snowflake performance, managing compute resources and optimizing queries to ensure cost-effective and high-performance data processing.
- Data Governance & Security: Implement data governance practices within Snowflake, including role-based access control, data masking, and encryption to ensure data security and compliance.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineers to understand business needs, and translate them into scalable Snowflake solutions.
- Automation: Develop scripts to automate data loading, transformations, and other recurring processes, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, data flows, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and scalability.
- Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and data engineers, guiding them on best practices in Snowflake and data warehousing.
Technical skills :
Solution architect familiar with Cloud-based architectures and DWBI Analytics domain knowledge with experience in Snowflake work on solutions and technologies to help our clients move their on-premise data warehouses to the cloud products like Snowflake Big Query and others work to provide thought leadership solutions and support others with expertise
- Design and Implement cloud data platforms and cloud-related architectures
- Design solution leveraging Snowflake native capabilities
- Collaborating within a project team to solve complex problems
- Thought leadership strategy and direction for the Snowflake practice
- Minimal 8 years experience in data warehousing analytics
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Architect
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Cloud platforms
- Understanding of migration Dev Ops ETLELT and BI required
- At least 6 to 12 months of experience working within Snowflake
- Understanding of Snowflake design patterns and migration architectures a major plus
- Strong understanding of the Snowflake architecture
- Understand of Snowflake roles and user security
- Understanding of Snowflake capabilities like Snowpipe STREAMS etc
Requirements :
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in data warehousing, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Architecture
