Solution Architect - Azure

Azure Solution Architect
The job of Cloud Solution Architect, will be a core member of a technical team that’s responsible for Operations, building and supporting cloud infrastructure and platform for Enterprise Cloud Services.
The candidate must be strong in Linux System Administration and Azure Administration with expertise in system operations of production workloads running in cloud environments (preferably Azure)
Requirements/JD:
Bachelor’s degree required

6-9 years hands-on Linux System Administration experience (RHEL / Cent OS / Oracle Linux or Debian preferred).
6+ year experience on Azure Cloud administration
3+ years relevant work experience in a high-volume and/or critical production service environment.
Minimum 1+ years’ experience with Windows Server operating system administration
Minimum 4+ years’ experience with Cloud Service Providers (Azure)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in enterprise environments
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Technical Skills:

Azure Administration certification (AZ-104) is desired.
Must be hands on Azure services like Azure Active Directory, App Service, Azure VM, Backup, Monitoring, Disk Encryption, Azure Function, Resource group, Storage Accounts, Tiering, Replication etc.
Understanding of supporting of Enterprise applications such as SAP systems and database on Azure Compute like (HANA, Db2, Oracle) with cluster management, HA management etc.
Implement Azure Security policies and controls.
Knowledge on Subscription, Management Groups, Root, Tenants, Costing etc.,
Experience in developing and deploying Cloud Native Applications using Azure Paa S Capabilities involving App Services Plans, Key Vault, SQL Azure DB, Azure Functions, Containers, Azure Container Apps, AKS
Experience with Ia C using Terraform with CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub, Git Hub Actions
Proficiency in cloud infrastructures with hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud resources using Azure in enterprise-wide environments
Experience in Azure Infrastructure, Networks, Storage, Apps and Azure Dev Ops
Sound knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and secure networking
Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Virtual Networks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery
Strong ability to document standards, methods and produce drawings of systems and applications.
Strong Scripting skills with any scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash Shell)
Strong experience in managing azure storage accounts, storage types and replication strategies
Strong skills on Power Shell / ARM Templates and solid understanding on JSON
Deploying and use of configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible etc.)
Administration of Linux / Windows servers
Lead the Architecture and Design of Business solutions implemented on Microsoft Azure
Provide guidance on various Public Cloud solution options, discuss benefits/risks and provide recommendations that align with strategic business needs
Provide thought leadership, recommendations and roadmaps for large transformation and greenfield programs on Azure Public Cloud
Assess and provide recommendations on various cloud service models (Iaa S, Paa S, Saa S)
Drive Proof of Concepts, map solution options to business problems and aid in defining business value and benefits
Collaborate with application engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure requirements and best practices are reflected in the Azure solution design
Provide architecture guidance based on the Azure Well-Architected Framework to help build reliable, secure and cost effective workloads in Azure
Be proactive in keeping the team informed around cloud industry best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders, recognize challenges, and proactively offer solutions
Mentor team on cloud architecture principles, best practices and emerging technologies.
Should have experience on Patch Management, Volume Management, Linux IP Tables, Route tables, Kernel management etc
Good knowledge on transport layer security (SSL, TLS etc.)
Good Hands-on experience in Azure Core Services like VNET, Express Route/ VPN, NSG, Subnetting, Load balancers, High Availability setup etc.,
Deep Understanding of Azure cloud Architecture, Template Deployment, SAP Architecture, Integration of On-Prem, Hybrid Infra etc.
Participate in Design Discussion, new way of working (Automations, operational management) etc.
Exposure to Visio, Draw.io, Lucid Charts etc Network/Architecture Design tools
Experience working in a fast-paced growth organization in a Global Delivery Model
Ability to present ideas to both technical and business stakeholders and facilitate strategic discussions.
Strong management and communication skills
Good to have knowledge on following skills:
- Expertise in web servers (Apache, NGINX, IIS, etc.)
- Knowledge in databases and other storage systems (My SQL, MSSQL, Oracle, CIFS, etc.)
- Knowledge in Gitlab / Github

Soft Skills:

Should be OK to work in rotational shifts including holiday and willing to support on night when needed.
Exceptional team work as well as being able to work under own initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work effectively with team members, clients and other areas of the IT environment.
Strong written and oral communications Handle multiple tasks and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong decision-making skills and make sound judgment decisions.
