Process Facilitator:
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are productive, engaging, and outcome-driven.
Adapt ceremonies to meet the specific needs of the team while maintaining core Scrum practices.
Impediment Remover:
Proactively identify and address obstacles that hinder team progress, escalating issues as needed and working collaboratively to find solutions.
Maintain a risk log to keep track of recurring issues and facilitate long-term solutions.
Communication Hub:
Foster open communication and transparency within the team and with stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and impediments.
Ensure all team members, regardless of location, are engaged and informed.
Metrics Maven:
Track and analyze team metrics, such as velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time, using data to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making.
Leverage metrics to provide actionable insights and drive meaningful improvements.
Continuous Improvement Catalyst:
Facilitate Sprint Retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable changes that enhance team performance and efficiency.
Promote a culture of feedback where team members feel comfortable offering suggestions for improvement.
Agile Advocate:
Promote Agile values and principles throughout the organization, encouraging a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and learning.
Actively participate in Agile communities of practice to share knowledge and learn from peers.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure that product backlogs are well-defined, prioritised, and aligned with business objectives.
Facilitate effective communication between the development team and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
Trust and Safety Advocate:
Foster a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
Encourage psychological safety, allowing team members to take risks and experiment without fear of failure.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience:Mid-level Scrum Master: 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, demonstrating proficiency in Scrum practices and leading teams to successful outcomes.
Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Certified Scrum Master certification is preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework. Experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
Soft Skills: Ability to build trust, motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and influence stakeholders. Adaptability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience in software development will be considered.
