Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety (PGDIS) and will be responsible for conducting Tool Box Talk (TBT) training for drivers and ensuring a safe work environment. This role requires an individual with a solid understanding of safety hazards, the ability to implement safety protocols, and the skills to train and guide drivers on safety best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily Tool Box Talks (TBT) to educate drivers on safety practices and hazard awareness.
Identify, assess, and mitigate safety hazards in the workplace, particularly related to driver operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Perform regular safety inspections and audits to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and preventive measures.
Prepare safety reports and maintain records of training, incidents, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety across the organization.
Provide ongoing safety education and training to employees as required.
Requirements:
PGDIS certification (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of safety hazards and industry safety standards.
Experience in conducting safety training, especially for drivers and operational teams.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
