Job Description Security & Liaison Officer Job Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand Job Overview: The Security & Liaison Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the mall's premises while also serving as the primary point of contact between the mall management and external stakeholders, including local authorities and regulatory bodies. This role involves managing security operations, coordinating with various departments and external agencies, and addressing any issues related to security and compliance. Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of mall security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for customers, tenants, and staff.
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Act as the primary liaison between mall management and external stakeholders, including local law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory agencies.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities and community organizations to facilitate cooperation and support.
Check outgoing returnable items status and follow up with the departments for closure, if not done.
Check all the first aid boxes, treatment rendered log and raise requisition to replenish if required.
Take round of the site periphery, terrace, basement areas close to shift end hours.
Prepare and submit regular reports on security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance status to senior management.
Conduct investigations into security breaches or incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, including fire, natural disasters, and security threats.
Coordinate emergency drills and training sessions for staff to ensure preparedness and effective response in crisis situations.
Provide training and guidance to security personnel vendor on best practices, emergency procedures, and security protocols.
Ensure that all security staff are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and support to enhance overall security operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in security management or a similar role, preferably within the retail or mall industry.
Strong knowledge of security systems, protocols, and emergency response procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external stakeholders and internal teams.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
