We are looking for a skilled Ping Federate and Ping One Migration Specialist to lead the migration of our current access management (AM) infrastructure to Ping Federate and Ping One. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with Ping Identity solutions and a proven track record of managing complex IAM migrations. This role will involve technical planning, execution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Migration Strategy and Planning: Develop a comprehensive migration strategy for transitioning from the existing IAM system to Ping Federate and Ping One. This includes risk assessment and timeline development
System Integration: Collaborate closely with application owners and IT teams to integrate existing applications with Ping Federate and Ping One. This includes setting up SSO, MFA, and other identity services such as "Tree, chains and modules, VPN, Key Tab, Session management, LDAP configuration, WS-Trust, SSO, OIDC setup, Ping Directory setup, User MFA device migration to Ping, Password history setup, Authentication, account lock, and TOTP setup.
Configuration and Customization: Customize Ping Federate and Ping One to meet organizational requirements, including configuring authentication flows, authorization policies, and user directories.
Data Migration: Oversee the migration of identity data, user profiles, and access control policies to the new platform while ensuring data integrity and security.
Testing and Validation: Create and execute test plans to validate the migration, ensuring all identity services function as expected post-migration. Address and resolve any issues that arise during testing.
Documentation: Document all configurations, customizations, and the migration process to provide a comprehensive reference for future maintenance and troubleshooting.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users to facilitate the transition to the new system and ensure a seamless user experience.
Post-Migration Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for optimization and improvements in the IAM infrastructure following the migration.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in identity and access management, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on Ping Identity solutions (Ping Federate and Ping One).
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Ping Federate and Ping One, including hands-on experience with SSO, MFA, WS-Federation, SAML, OAuth, and OIDC. Experience with cloud-based IAM is a plus.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to identity management systems.
Communication: Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications related to Ping Identity or IAM are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other IAM solutions (Forge Rock).
Familiarity with security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
Experience in a Dev Ops or Agile environment.
