Job Summary: The Physiotherapist at I Support Foundation's Autism Specialized School will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy programs to support the unique needs of students with autism. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents, adapting interventions to enhance mobility, independence, and overall physical well-being. Roles/ Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine the physical needs and capabilities of the child with autism.
Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including special education teachers, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care.
Adapt physiotherapy techniques to address sensory sensitivities and communication challenges associated with autism.
Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
Stay informed about current research and best practices in physiotherapy for individuals with autism.
Skills/ Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
Valid state licensure as a Physiotherapist.
Experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with autism spectrum disorders.
Strong understanding of the unique physical challenges faced by individuals with autism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a child-centric approach to therapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or training in physiotherapy.
Previous experience working in an educational or school setting.
Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive equipment.
