X-Gen College of Visual Art is seeking a full-time on-site Painting Faculty member at the Berhampur location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting techniques and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic development in students. As a Painting Faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to the overall academic environment of our institution. Responsibilities: - 1. Develop and deliver engaging and innovative painting curriculum for students at various skill levels. 2. Teach fundamental and advanced painting techniques, including but not limited to oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolour, and mixed media. 3. Incorporate art history, theory, and contemporary practices into the curriculum to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of painting. 4. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them develop their artistic skills and personal style. 5. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages experimentation, creativity, and critical thinking. 6. Organize and supervise studio sessions, workshops, and critiques to facilitate hands-on learning experiences for students. 7. Collaborate with other faculty members and departments to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and projects into the curriculum. 8. Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and developments in the field of painting through professional development activities, research, and participation in art exhibitions or conferences. 9. Assist in the recruitment and evaluation of students, as well as participate in departmental meetings and committees as required. 10. Maintain a clean and organized studio space, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available and in good working condition. 11. Participate in outreach activities, such as community art projects, exhibitions, and public demonstrations, to promote the program and engage with the broader arts community. Qualifications: - 1. Master's degree or equivalent in Fine Arts, Painting, or related field. A terminal degree (BVA, MVA/BFA, MFA) is preferred. 2. Demonstrated expertise in painting techniques and a strong portfolio of original artwork. 3. Previous teaching experience at the college or institute level is highly desirable. 4. Knowledge of art history, contemporary art practices, and critical theory. 5. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and dynamic academic community. 6.
