Optometrist
Conducting Eye Examinations: Performing comprehensive eye exams to check for vision problems and ocular diseases.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Diagnosing Vision Issues: Identifying refractive errors (e.g., myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism) and other eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Prescribing Corrective Lenses: Recommending eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct vision problems.
- Managing Eye Diseases: Offering treatment plans or referrals for conditions such as dry eyes, infections, and chronic diseases like glaucoma.
- Providing Vision Therapy: Assisting patients with exercises or therapies to treat issues like lazy eye or eye alignment problems.
- Prescribing Medications: In some regions, optometrists can prescribe medications for certain eye conditions.
- Counseling Patients: Advising patients on proper eye care, including hygiene, protection, and preventive measures.
- Pre- and Post-Surgical Care: Offering care and follow-up for patients who have undergone eye surgery, like LASIK or cataract surgery.
- Collaboration with Other Health Professionals: Working alongside ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers when specialized or advanced treatments are required.
- Maintaining Records: Documenting patient history, examination results, and treatment plans
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Experience:
