- Evaluate prescriptions provided by ophthalmologists and optometrists. - Take accurate measurements of the patient's facial features and optical parameters to ensure precise fitting of eyewear. - Adjust frames and lenses to achieve proper fit and comfort for the patient. - Instruct patients on how to properly use and care for their eyewear or contact lenses. - Educate patients about the features and benefits of different types of lenses and frames. - Provide guidance on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements that may improve visual comfort and clarity. - Address patient concerns and questions regarding their eyewear or contact lenses. - Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, fittings, adjustments, and other relevant patient information. - Document any changes in prescriptions or patient preferences to facilitate future consultations and orders. - Work closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal visual outcomes. - Communicate effectively with patients to ensure they understand their treatment plans and follow-up instructions - Experience in a similar role within an eye hospital or optical setting is advantageous. - Strong understanding of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and contact lenses. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements. - Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
