The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. 1. JOB PURPOSE
ANM/Nurse will be responsible for providing preventive, promotive and curative health care services through MMU in the assigned villages. S/he will accompany the mobile medical unit (Van) and will be responsible for providing counselling services to the community and other field leave communication, counselling’s and health education support to the programme. S/he will ensure participation of the community. S/he will maintain records of patient registrations and provide health education using IEC materials.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Visit along with MMU to the camp sited as per the plan.
- Ensure support and work in coordination with the local community workers such as Anganwadi ASHA workers for effective service delivery when the MMU in the village and follow up.
- Provide preventive, promotive and curative health care services under the supervision of the Medical Officers.
- Conduct individual and group sessions on reproductive health, Mother and child health, nutrition, communicable and non-communicable diseases, adolescent health.
- Support in the management of MMU especially, record keeping, management of the patient flow and medicine distribution.
- Coordinate to refer the patients to nearest health facility for secondary level treatment and follow up.
- Responsible for supervision of village health workers and their capacity building.
- Maintain relevant reports and documents.
3. Other Indicative Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in Nursing/ ANM training or a related field with good knowledge in public health or hospitals
Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)
- Experience of working in field/clinic for 1-3 years.
- The candidate should be well versed with English, Hindi and local dialect.
- Community mobilization and communication skills
- Must have ANM certification
