Job Title: Senior Database Developer & Administrator Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer & Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in database management, including backup management, query optimization, and performance tuning. This role will focus on both Relational and No SQL databases, with a strong emphasis on My SQL. Experience with Mongo DB and cloud environments, especially AWS and RDS, is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Database Administration: Manage database infrastructure, ensure the security, availability, and performance of databases. Backup Management: Implement and oversee regular database backups, ensuring data integrity and the ability to restore data when needed. Query Optimization: Analyze and optimize complex queries to enhance application performance. Performance Tuning: Regularly monitor and adjust database parameters and performance metrics to ensure the system is running efficiently. Database Design: Design and maintain database schemas, ensuring scalability, data integrity, and compliance with business needs. Cloud Infrastructure: Work with cloud environments like AWS and RDS to ensure smooth database operation in cloud-native systems. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and performance impact. Required Qualifications: Extensive experience with relational databases (My SQL, Postgre SQL, etc.). Strong expertise in SQL and query performance tuning. Experience with object-oriented databases. Solid knowledge of My SQL administration and optimization. Familiarity with Mongo DB is a plus. Experience in database backup and restore management. Cloud experience with AWS and RDS (Amazon Relational Database Service). Preferred Skills: Experience with database replication and high-availability setups. Familiarity with No SQL databases (e.g., Mongo DB, Cassandra). Knowledge of database security and compliance best practices. Automation skills using scripting languages like Python or Bash.
