Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The Remote Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies and patients. This role is crucial in managing the financial aspects of patient care, contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of our healthcare practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify patient information, diagnoses, and treatment codes to ensure accurate billing.
Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring prompt payment.
Process and manage accounts receivable, including patient billing and collections.
Conduct audits of billing records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and answer inquiries.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
Stay up-to-date with changes in billing regulations, insurance policies, and coding standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Certification in medical billing and coding preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a remote setting.
Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance claims procedures, and coding systems (e.g., CPT, ICD-10).
Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working remotely.
