Mechanical Helper Job Description Position Overview: The Mechanical Helper provides essential support to mechanics by performing various maintenance and repair tasks. Responsibilities include changing oil and tires, replacing hoses and belts, inspecting brakes, and assisting in diagnosing vehicle issues. Successful candidates will typically possess a high school diploma and have completed certificate programs in mechanical engineering. Key Responsibilities:
Assist mechanics in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.
Transport tools and equipment to and from storage and work areas.
Operate equipment to lift materials and tools to the appropriate working height.
Dismantle machinery by loosening bolts and other fasteners.
Apply oil and grease to machinery and ensure proper maintenance.
Clean and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Perform preventive maintenance procedures, including cleaning, vacuuming equipment, changing filters, and oiling parts.
Test electrical circuits and related components using electrical test equipment.
