Ensure all customers vehicles are completed for delivery at the time promised ( target 90% on time delivery )
Maintain minimum number of vehicle carryovers.
Contribute to efficient service operations by reducing the causes of and time taken for job stoppages.
Ensure continued dealership profitability through correct loading of the service shop, based on facility and manpower capacities.
Ensure accurate recording of hours available and hours worked.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Record all repair orders onto dispatch log and determine the repair time required.
Distribute repair orders to the most appropriately skilled technicians based on priority and completion time.
Distribute repair orders with expected job completion time.
Monitor and follow- up on work progress for each technician to ensure completion on time.
Indicate and record the indices and causes of job stoppages.
Record number and causes of carry overs.
Maintain accurate time keeping records by ensuring all technicians clock on and off all repair orders.
Assist Chief General Technicians and Advisors in generation of field information report.
Keep advisors informed of job delays and any additional work required.
Supervise all the technicians in the workshop.
Control the distribution of all sublet repairs.
Ensure workshop discipline.
Ensure technicians follow right diagnostics/ probing procedures.
Ensure Technicians use tools / equipment and literature in correct manner.
Ensure proper road test.
Ensure adherence to workshop schedule.
Ensure effective usage of hotline assistance.
Interact with Advisor to understand the exact customer concern.
Identify the requirement of technical training for the technicians and work out in-dealership training plans for them.
Ensure implementation of Technical Bulletins and ensure usage of special tools to increase Technicians’ efficiency and improve Fix it right the first time.
Efficiently maintain and use job progress control board.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
FIRFT( Fix it right the first time) rate should be 98%.
Customer satisfaction ratings show consistent improvement.
Develop and impart in house training.
Calculate and record efficiency, labour utilization and productivity on daily basis for each technician.
Maintain dealership equipment in effective and safe working condition.
AUTHORITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL POSITION:
Authority to distribute and monitor all repair work to the technicians.
Works in corporation with Assistant Manager reception to ensure full utilization of department capacity.
