Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager for Marketing & Publicity, the Intern will focus on gaining insight into Marketing and related Design fields. The post-holder will provide support to the department primarily with regards to design, but also administrative support in case required. The intern can also participate in marketing brainstorming sessions, particularly when it comes to inputs for social media assets
Key Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including email marketing, social media marketing, content marketing.
- Assist in the creation of marketing collateral.
- Provide administrative support to the team where and when required. For example, during events, bookfairs, Comic-Cons etc.
Person specification requirement
The Marketing and Design intern will have passion and interest for working in the Publishing industry. They will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to interact with all parts of the business – externally and internally. They will be self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. They will be creative and innovative and keen eye for problem solving.
Experience
Good (demonstrable) creativity is the first characteristic we will be on the lookout for in potential candidates.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of photo and video editing tools is a must
The candidate should have a previous portfolio of work ready to share, in case requested.
They will have excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Previous publishing internship experience will be a plus
The candidate will be further favourably considered if they are able to bring their own laptop (with the necessary software subscriptions active and in place).
Note: The candidate will be expected to attend office 5 days a week
