We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Video Editor who specializes in creating video shorts, thumbnails, and community posts, while also editing long-form content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media content trends and the ability to enhance audience engagement through visually compelling media. Key Responsibilities:
Create Video Shorts:
Edit and repurpose existing long-form video content into engaging short-form videos (You Tube Shorts, Instagram Reels, etc.).
Optimize video shorts for each platform’s unique requirements and audience engagement.
Add subtitles, effects, and transitions to create polished, attention-grabbing short clips.
Design Custom Thumbnails:
Create visually impactful, click-worthy thumbnails for videos that boost viewer engagement and click-through rates.
Collaborate with the content team to ensure thumbnails align with the video’s theme and overall branding.
Stay updated on thumbnail design trends to optimize appeal and effectiveness.
Develop Community Posts:
Design and create graphics for community posts on platforms like You Tube, Instagram, and Facebook.
Develop posts that engage the community and reflect brand voice.
Adapt visuals for various content formats including polls, announcements, and promotions.
Edit Long-Form Content:
Edit longer videos (e.g., You Tube videos) to ensure a cohesive narrative and high-quality viewing experience.
Manage video pacing, color grading, audio syncing, and transitions to produce professional-quality content.
Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to ensure the long-form content is optimized for audience retention.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in video editing and graphic design with a portfolio showcasing relevant work, including shorts, thumbnails, and community posts.
Proficiency in design and video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Canva and Illustrator.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and content trends, particularly in short-form video and engagement tactics.
Ability to work on multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and a strong collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with You Tube Studio and experience optimizing content for You Tube growth.
Knowledge of video SEO and best practices for creating engaging You Tube content.
Experience with motion graphics and basic animation is a plus.
