Full job description The job of an electrician involves working with electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems. Responsibilities: Install and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems. Install wiring, lighting systems, outlets, and circuit breakers according to local and national electrical codes. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify issues and ensure proper functioning. Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform necessary repairs or replacements of faulty components. Conduct routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure the longevity of electrical systems. Test electrical systems and components to ensure they meet performance and safety standards. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions. Electrician Requirements: ITI Electrician or Diploma. Proven experience working as an Electrician, preferably in the Marine environment The ability to use hand and power tools. The ability to interpret blueprints for Electrical systems. The ability to concentrate for extended periods. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
