Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Hindi or a related field from a recognized and reputed institute Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Proficiency in using digital media platforms and content management systems. Strong research skills and ability to gather, analyse, and present information in a clear and concise manner. Knowledge of tribal issues, culture, and history would be an advantage 4 years experience in content writing, journalism, or communications, preferably in the context of tribal affairs
Job description
1. Content Creation: Write and edit engaging and informative content for various media platforms ,including articles, press releases, blogs, success stories , Content for various brochures/flyers and social media posts Research and gather information on tribal issues, initiatives, and events for content creation. Ensure all content is accurate, well-researched, and aligned with the ministry's communication objectives. 2. Media Engagement: Monitor news and media coverage related to tribal affairs and provide timely updates to the media cell. Assist in organizing press conferences,briefings, and media events to promote the ministry's initiatives. Develop and maintain relationships with media professionals and stakeholders to enhance media coverage of tribal issues. 3. Digital Media Management: Manage and update the ministry's website and social media accounts with relevant and timely content. Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media platforms in a professional and timely manner. Analyze social media metrics and trends to optimize content and engagement strategies. 4. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement communication strategies. Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to create multimedia content. Support the media cell in organizing events, campaigns, and outreach activities to raise awareness about tribal issues . 5. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of media coverage, content performance, and other relevant data. Prepare reports, brochures/flyers, presentations, and briefs on media activities and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders. Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans and strategies. 6. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends andbest practices in media, journalism, and communication. Participate in training programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge. 7. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
