Technical lead for Electrical & electronics design, components selection, System integration and qualification of Elevator Control system.
Design and integration of elevator electrical subsystems, understanding control system requirements, motor & VF drive interfaces, electrical codes & application software fundamentals.
Developing concepts of electrical sub-system, review and create electrical component & sub-system design requirements.
Design of wire harness and manage the interface between various elevator components through electrification and signaling.
Preparation of Bill of Material of Elevator Control system for various ratings.
Identify cost reduction opportunities and innovative ideas in electrical subsystems with alternative design solutions to reduce the product cost.
Selection and sizing of key electrical components for the electrical sub-system designs, such as: relays, safety sensors, circuit breakers, switches, transformers, protection systems for both control and power circuits.
Propose and integrate alternative drives, machines, controllers and other electrical components in the event of product obsolescence.
Support electrical system calculation and analysis for cable sizing, power converters sizing, Machine sizing, heat release calculations, power supply designs.
Provide Technical leadership on designing electrical components using OTIS design standards for cost, manufacturing, assembly, reliability and safety.
Participate in the design review’s of the electrical sub-system.
Understanding and performing failure and risk analysis using Otis tools PROCERT,FTA, FMEA, RAMP, RRCA, Do E, etc
Develop/Execute qualification plan for the electrical components/ subsystem & system level.
Develop / Execute reliability tests as per OTIS/International Standards (EN/IEC).
Implementing Root Cause Analysis to analyze test result of electrical sub-system and components and FTBs.
Developing and improving design process of electrical components & sub-system.
Providing product support and technical expertise for Sales, Manufacturing (IE) and Supply Chain.
