About the job
Take ownership of managing the daily sea freight shipments pro-actively to achieve customer requirements
Coordinating import/export shipments with local & overseas customers, carriers, sub-contractors, agents
Liaise internally and externally with all departments, third-party carriers, forwarders, and agencies for a timely execution
Communicate irregularities timely to customers and provide a clear alternative solution
Prepare, create, and execute complete document sets correctly and efficiently for all consignments
Proactively monitor daily export/import shipment/delivery schedules
Process external and internal billing and invoicing based on the agreed rates
Input and update all required data in the designated Hellmann TMS systems
Comply with the respective global trade restrictions and guidelines
About You
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong communication capabilities in an international environment
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Other languages (written and spoken) are advantage
2-3 years of experience in sea freight operation
End-to-end sea freight operation export and import knowledge
Work with different cultures and people, including phone calls
Strong time management skills to complete tasks on time
A proactive attitude to foresee irregularities and propose alternative solutions
Ability to work under pressure to cope with periods of high workload and tight timelines
