The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Indirect Tax Technology Manager (Fixed Term) role will make an impact:

Support and manage SAP role design for Indirect Tax across the globe (working with local teams where possible in non EU countries) – ensure Indirect Tax requirements are understood by relevant teams and that configuration meets Indirect Tax requirements.

Ensure that proper collaboration happens with Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance teams regarding VAT related processes and system integrations.

Maintain regular and open communication with Viatris businesses to ensure any business changes are documented and to identify any SAP changes (configuration changes, plants abroad, tax code changes, VAT registrations).

Ensuring that Indirect Tax Authority changes (e.g. VAT rates, reporting requirements) are communicated well in advance and working with various teams to ensure SAP is configured for Viatris to meet any new Indirect Tax requirements either by SAP changes or add ons supported by third party vendors.

Lead the negotiation with various workstreams to ensure Indirect Tax master data is properly maintained and updated.

Work closely with Indirect Tax Regional Teams (e.g. EMEA/ Americas/ APAC) on any Viatris initiatives/projects, audits, VAT queries from business etc. where technology process support may be required

Train the designated trainers users to help provide an understanding and gain a deeper knowledge in the redesigned specific processes

Lead, and review with the IDT Technology Senior Manager, the implementation of systems from GIS Indirect Tax perspective:

Serve as an escalation point to support complex/recurring problem resolution
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
-
Qualified Accountant or Member of Tax Institute or bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance.

3+ years of European Indirect Tax experience.

Strong knowledge of SAP- IDT modules.
-
Experience with Tax Engine is an advantage.

Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word and Power Point.

Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis.

Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills (both verbally and in writing).

Fluency in spoken and written English and Hungarian, second foreign language knowledge is an advantage.
