Duties and responsibilities

• Getting to know the life-saving and quality-of-life increasing medical devices manufactured by the company
• Getting to know the relevant product development processes and applying technologies
• Contact with project managers, system architects, security engineers, and specific functional groups
• Designing the security software architecture of the medical device
• Development of embedded software of medical device according to cyber security aspects, compliance with processes
• Analysis, evaluation and solution of vulnerabilities and weaknesses
• Monitoring market security trends and innovations
• Contact and cooperation with corporate Product Security Office and security responsibles
• Making proposals for further developments and improvements
• Preparation of software documentation

Professional competencies

• Strong and handson experience with Linux (sysadmin, scripting, security hardening)
• Experience in threat modeling, security assessments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, standards and applied cryptography
• Experience with various security tools.
• Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#
• Ability to write clean and secure code
• Proven Experience with safety (nice-to-have)
• Securing x86 based systems (UEFI, secure boot, TPM) (nice-to-have)
• Up-to-date knowledge of security trends and hacker tactics (nice-to-have)
• Management of Penetration testing process (nice-to-have)
• Experience with programming languages: python, rust (nice-to-have)
• Experience with modern software development methods (e.g. SCRUM, TDD, Clean Code) (nice-to-have)
• Experience with the following tools: Git, Jira, Doors / Polarion, Enterprise Architect, Sonar Qube (nice-to-have)
• Experience in software design and development (if in the field of medical device development is a plus) (nice-to-have)
• German language skills (nice-to-have)
