Data Engineer

The Data Engineer is responsible for the management and improvement of a Resideo homegrown Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform that captures data from production, generating reports that enable our engineering departments to improve manufacturing processes, whilst also feeding information into SAP to automatically trigger certain events.
In addition to fixing issues / bugs within the platform you will work with each Resideo production site to capture & understand their needs and deliver solutions via the development of new platform functionality.

JOB DUTIES:

Extract and transform data from machines and production processes to standard structures and load to global tools
Develop and implement process improvements and technology upgrades to eliminate wastes by implementing paper-less operation model
Data mining and ad-hoc queries from existing systems
Maintaining and enhancing data in the platform, providing further ideas on data optimization and structure
Supporting LEAN and Six Sigma activities on production sites
Proactively seek improvement opportunities in terms of quality, speed and availability of production equipment
Point of contact for corporate Digital transformation program to plan and execute various projects
Platform administration

YOU MUST HAVE:

Knowledge of database technologies
Excellent knowledge of MSSQL
Knowledge of Transaction SQL, stored procedures and database functions
Ability to create own extension for existing databases with respect to performance and data accuracy
Programming experience
Basic SAP knowledge

WE VALUE:

Experience working in manufacturing environment
Experience with database architecture, reporting and integration services
C#, Java Script, Node Red programming experience
Experience with Web Service communication
Knowledge and experience with Dot Net Core framework (desirable, not essential)
