The Accounting Assistant position at ASC Global is a full-time, remote role located in Hungary. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience, a solid understanding of Hungarian accounting law, and fluency in both Hungarian and English. This role requires working a US shift from Hungary and collaborating closely with the accounting team at our headquarters in the United States. We also offer a flexible working environment. Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing: Accurately process and manage customer orders, ensuring timely and correct invoicing.
Invoicing: Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring all details are accurate and compliant with company policies.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable tasks, including recording transactions, processing payments, and following up on outstanding payments.
Reporting: Assist in the creation of various financial reports, such as aging reports, to support the finance team’s analysis and decision-making.
Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring data is up to date in the company's accounting software.
Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial reports by gathering and summarizing data as needed.
Reconciliation: Assist with bank and account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
Customer Communication: Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices and orders in a professional and timely manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team at our US headquarters to ensure seamless financial operations and communication.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with Hungarian accounting laws and regulations in all relevant tasks.
General Accounting Duties: Support the finance team with other accounting tasks and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in order processing, invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable tasks.
Language Skills: Fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Hungarian accounting laws and regulations.
Skills:
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Schedule: Ability to work a US shift from Europe i.e. 13:00 to 22:00 CET. What We Offer:
