As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing daily operations. You will be ordering ingredients and supplies, and you will create, decorate and present the desserts, keeping abreast of the latest food and industry trends. Adhere to health and safety standards with care by following the company’s SOPs. The Pastry Chef reports directly to the Chef. Responsibilities
Develop and execute pastry menus that align with Grecotel's standards and meet guest preferences
Create and oversee the production of a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads
Train and manage a team of pastry cooks and assistants
Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, and ensure proper storage and rotation
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Collaborate with other culinary teams to develop new menu items and concepts
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve pastry offerings
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors
Proven leadership and management skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent creativity and attention to detail
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
