WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Build systems which steer sponsored content visibility on Zalando; shape and manage what Zalando end customers will see; directly increase engagement and retention.

Advance the machine learning algorithms that personalize the content selection.

Further develop our fair and healthy ad placement capabilities that drive long term customer value.

Building and running a large scale real-time machine learning system for ad placements.

Generate actionable insights from the data of 51+M customers.

Participating in pivotal company project with high impact opportunity.

Understand and design an ML product that solves real customer needs.

Work with large range of technologies and methods with great opportunities to grow.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF HAVE
-
Master or above (Ph D) in quantitative economics, computer science or a related quantitative discipline with a strong foundation in statistics, econometrics, microeconomics and computational methods.
-
Previous experience with Ad Tech, real-world machine learning, recommender and ranking systems.
-
In-depth understanding of ML, strong expertise in at least one ML approach area, e.g. linear models, deep learning, recommender systems.

Strong theoretical background of Microeconomics, Econometrics, Causal Inference, and Machine Learning.
-
Strong skills in Python & SQL, hands-on experience with Git, working with cloud services (e.g. S3, sagemaker, dynamodb etc.).

Experience of building solutions in production together with engineers.

Curiosity to learn new technologies.
