The Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) stands for innovative research in international, multidisciplinary teams and a modern research infrastructure. The Competence Area `Nutrition and Metabolism´ invites applications for a Postdoctoral researcher (m/f/d) initially for 36 months (extension possible), full-time, starting at the earliest possible date. If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the payment will be in accordance with the collective agreement for the federal states (TV-L), pay grade E 13 TV-L Your Tasks: The successful candidate will work on interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects in the field of skeletal muscle biology in the working group “Muscle-Fat-Interaction”. It is expected that the candidate will contribute to ongoing projects as well as to develop and conduct own research projects in the field of cross talk between skeletal muscle, adipose and further tissues in farm and model animal species. Your Qualifications: We are looking for a highly motivated reasearcher with a Ph D/doctoral degree in biology, animal or veterinary science or related fields. The candidate should have basic knowledge of animal physiology and experience with molecular and biochemical techniques as well as cell culture and sampling techniques. The applicant is expected to develop and to pursue projects, to apply for third –party funding and to publish results. Working languages are German and English. What we offer:
