The Stuttgart Lodging facilities operate 24 hours a day 365 days a year and are staffed around the clock. Scheduled tour of duty is irregular and rotational, to include mornings, evenings, nights, overnights, weekends, and US and German holidays. You will be required to work at all Stuttgart Lodging facilities during all shifts, based on staffing requirements.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability to lead others. Knowledge of the processes, which require remembering directions and/or sequences. Knowledge of work safety with hand tools setting up banquet staging areas.
RESPONSIBILITY: Works under general supervision. Incumbent is given specific written or oral work assignments, which are completed with little review. Incumbent serves as leader to crewmembers, making daily assignments and assuring that assignments are completed. Work is reviewed for results achieved, production, quality, appearance, and overall customer satisfaction.
PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Exertion of heavy physical effort required. Frequent lifting and moving of items weighing 50 pounds or more. Heavier items are moved with assistance from other workers. Operates a 3/4 ton motor vehicle as needed to accomplish assignments. Subject to continuous standing, walking, stooping, or bending.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to inclement weather when working outdoors. Exposed to drafts, noise, dust and dirt. The employee is exposed to the possibility of bruises, muscle strains, cuts and scrapes. Adherence to safety procedures and the use of standard safety equipment is required. Proper handling of tables, chairs, platforms, and equipment necessary to avoid serious injury.
