About the Role We are looking for a Senior/Staff Embedded Software Developer to help shape our software solutions for micro-controllers and low-end embedded systems. The position is open in our office in Oulu, Finland. You will work on the world's leading cross-platform C++ framework, where you will contribute to developing solutions that make life easy for embedded application developers. In this role you will join the MCU Platform team and enable our framework in different boards. It is a multi-cultural team, with a strong core in Oulu and with some colleagues spread around in multiple locations. You will spend most of your time on technical tasks but will also support customers and sales. You will:
Work hands-on with the world's leading cross-platform C++ framework, focusing on microcontroller-based systems
Work independently, managing your tasks and projects
Focus on quality: continuous integration, testing and code reviews
Regularly use software engineering practices such as debugging, profiling, version control, and automated testing
Regularly provide reviews and feedback on different topics
Work on existing code across the product and on architectural level
Participate in software design and architecture discussions
Communicate with customers/users and contributors (when applicable)
About You:
Curious and creative to solve challenges and tasks
Good understanding of development workflow
Profiency with the C++ programming language
Knowledge of low-level microcontrollers
Knowledge of graphics programming on embedded devices
Experience with debugging and profiling on embedded devices
Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written, as English is our company languge
Beneficial skills:
Familiarity with the Qt framework and QML
Knowledge of Graphics APIs on Automotive boards
Ability to work with a team in multiple geographic places
Familiarity with Scrum/Jira/Confluence/Git
