Research Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Research Project Manager to strengthen our competence in research- and co-innovation project management. As a Research Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in success of our research projects with internal and external stakeholders and partners.

You will be part of the team, that drives innovation by integrating common interfaces, facilitating seamless data sharing between ecosystem players, and continuously upgrading customer fleets with the latest technological advancements. Our mission is to connect all customer equipment to the Konecranes digital ecosystem, ensuring that our clients benefit from cutting-edge solutions that enhance their operations.

We value previous experience in preparation and management of jointly funded research projects, also previous experience of machinery industry, manufacturing technologies and commercialization of research results in those areas are highly appreciated. Attention to detail and motivation for the quality is required in these kinds of projects. To be successful in this role, you will also need to get along with different people and have a team player mentality.

Your key responsibilities:

• Manage internal and external research projects.
  

• Manage service research project portfolio.
  

• EU research project planning, preparation and execution.
  

• Co-operation with internal stakeholders and external university and business partners.
  

• Follow the progress of research projects and the achievement of objectives.
  

• Assisting in writing applications for EU projects and CO-innovation projects for Business Finland.

What should you bring?

• Prior experience in managing jointly funded research projects.
  

• We are seeking a motivated individual who takes initiative and consistently drives projects forward with a proactive approach.
  

• You will succeed in this position if you have good problem-solving, teamworking and team building attitude and skills. You are self-motivated organised individual who takes initiative and consistently drives projects forward with a proactive approach.
  

• Experience of working in a network of internal and external stakeholders and being able to work in matrix organization.
  

• Master’s degree, Ph D is an asset, in Engineering or Economics.
  

• Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, other languages seen as an asset.
  

• Negotiation and facilitation skills.
