Supply organization consists of global and local operations and comprises safety, procurement, manufacturing, subcontracting, logistics, site operations and operations coordination. BU Port Cranes Supply serves BU Solutions as well.
Supply has a vital role in building a scalable business model that fulfils the qualitative and quantitative targets of our operations, despite the prevailing market conditions. Supply also maintains the manufacturing footprint and optimizes its performance by using efficiently its own manufacturing sites, partners, and subcontractors.
Supply Operations, Operations Coordination is looking for two Production Coordinators to work on Port Crane delivery projects. One of the roles is 12 months fixed-term contract, the other one is an undefined term contract.
Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the material flow from engineering to site. He/she is working simultaneously on several delivery projects led by several project managers. The role of the Production Coordinator is critical in the successful execution of a project.
Main responsibilities:
Coordinate the delivery project with other stakeholders in the project team according to the project and process requirements
Act in a close co-operation with engineering, therefore a good knowledge in reading drawings is beneficial
Preparation of project material flow and delivery plans
Initiate and manage the delivery project at 1KC and other dedicated systems
Control the production of the delivery project in close co-operation and active communication with internal and external suppliers
React and resolve unexpected situations in the supply chain
Improve continuously the Port Crane delivery process and production coordination
What you should bring
To succeed in this role you'll have a strong technical knowledge obtained from work experience, hobbies, or studies. Preferably you are a Master of Science or Bachelor of Engineering from a suitable area. Knowledge from Konecranes IT systems and global supply chains is considered a benefit. We expect you to be target orientated and analytical with good communication skills. You have a sense of urgency and attitude to fix deviations quickly. You manage to work simultaneously for several projects and make decisions with incomplete information. You are fluent in English; other languages are considered an asset. The position might later require some travelling, up to 10-30 travelling days per year.
You will report to the Manager, Production Coordination.
