Open position for a Postdoctoral researcher in Inflammation and Infections research group
The laboratory of Karita Haapasalo at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Bacteriology and Immunology is looking for a postdoctoral researcher or experienced Ph D student.
The research is funded by the Research Council of Finland. The aim is to elucidate the role of complement activation and regulation in beta-Amyloid oligomerization and clearance. The research is multidisciplinary but is focused on immunology, biochemistry and cell biology.

Position requirements: We are looking for a person who can complement our team. The applicant should be highly committed to research and have willingness to explore and interest in both molecular-based research and biomedicine. The project involves performing and designing experiments, data-analysis, writing and presenting data in English and supervision of students. The applicants should have a strong background of at least one of the major skills; biochemistry, immunology, microbiology or cell biology. Previous experience in i PSC and 3D culturing is considered a benefit. The candidate should be able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
Starting date and salary: The appointment will start asap and will be funded for 2 years with the possibility of continuation. A trial period of 6 months will be applied. The monthly salary will be determined according to the salary system at the employment unit.
