We are looking for an Embedded Software Designer to strengthen the Smart Metering Io T solution development at our Landis+Gyr Jyväskylä based Communications and Metrology R&D Center. You as a candidate can be at the beginning of your career, or a seasoned expert looking for new challenges. In this position you will get a unique opportunity to develop embedded software in a global environment using different state-of-the-art laboratory setups utilizing the products that we design and sell.

Qualities that will help you to succeed in this role:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree from a field related to software engineering.
- Fluent communication skills using English as a preferred language.
- Basic know-how from object oriented programming, e.g. with C++ or similar language.
- Capability or desire to understand schematics and hardware limitations of embedded systems.
- Willingness to grow as an expert of Io T connectivity.
In your daily design work, you might be facing following topics:
- Agile software development principles, e.g. Scrum, SAFe, etc.
- Commonly used version control tools, such as Git.
- Different IDEs related to C++ development.
- Debugging tools and interfaces related to analyzing runtime firmware.
- Technical requirements and design documentation.
