We are looking for one synthesis chemist to develop a production-scale synthesis route for organic substrates. The tasks include not only planning and documenting experiments but also performing the actual synthesis in the laboratory. Therefore, practical experience in organic synthesis is essential for success in this role. Once the synthesis route is ready and tested, manufacturing instructions for the large-scale synthesis will also be prepared, so understanding GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is considered an advantage. Comprehensive training will be provided for the position, and you will work with a team of laboratory technicians and other chemists.
Key responsibilities:
Synthesis route development for organic substrates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present project reports.
Requirements:
Relevant higher education degree, e.g. in Organic Chemistry.
Practical experience in laboratory work and synthesis development.
Proficiency in key analytical methods used in synthesis work (TLC, HPLC, NMR, MS).
Good oral and written skills in Finnish and English.
Teamwork skills and flexibility.
