*Company Description*
MESC (Mechanical Engineering Services Company) is a specialized company founded in 1997 by Engineer Mohamed Anwar, providing design and engineering services for mechanical applications such as fire fighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The company represents and distributes products from world industry leaders such as Patterson and Grundfos Pumps, Grinnell Grooved piping & Mechanical Products, Tyco fire & Building Products, Kidde fire suppression, Edward fire alarm and more. MESC also offers complementary engineering services including value engineering, hydraulic calculations, and customized system designs.
*Role Description*
This is a full-time role for a Technical Engineer at MESC Alexandria office. The Technical Engineer should be aware and responsible for the following:
1. Knowledgeable about fire alarm system components, including detectors, control panels, notification devices, and wiring
2. Familiarity with relevant fire codes and regulations (e.g. NFPA 72, local/national building codes)
3. Understanding the integration between fire alarm systems and other systems (such as CCTV, access control, BMS, smoke control).
4. Preparing complete technical submittals for the fire alarm system
5. Providing technical support and guidance during the installation, testing, and maintenance phases of the fire alarm system.
6. Generating detailed riser diagrams to illustrate the fire alarm system.
7. Ability to perform detailed battery capacity calculations for fire alarm control panels and associated equipment.
8. Proficient in calculating voltage drop for fire alarm notification circuits.
9. Staying up-to-date with the latest fire alarm system technologies and code requirements
*Qualifications*
- Min 3 years of experience in Fire Alarm.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently & in a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Communication Engineering.
