Role Scope

Implement end-to-end forecasting solutions for key business metrics using statistical forecasting techniques; maintain and monitor forecast accuracy
Take full ownership and create data-driven insights and analyses that influence development decisions

and strategies, by using the appropriate data and tools

Create experiments and prototype implementations of new learning algorithms and prediction techniques
Embark on exploratory data analysis projects to achieve a better understanding of business processes as well as to discover opportunities of growth and optimization
Implement data products that embed advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics:regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, etc
Create reports, and dashboards and answer ad-hoc questions that would help our stakeholders to make informed decisions

What Did We Order?

Very good analytical background with hands-on experience for over 3 years
Exposure to standard statistical methods like forecasting, regression, clustering techniques, classification techniques
Proficiency and demonstrated experience of 3+ years in SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with last-minute adaptations & regular changes
Ability to communicate technical & operational findings/projects to all types of stakeholders
strong problem-solving, decision-making skills, and data-driven approach
Proven ability to manage change and implement process improvements
Strong service orientation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical mindset
Strong cultural fit fully embracing all Talabat’s corporate values
Has a keen interest in business and is able to use common sense to simplify data (and is able to zoom out to observe patterns)
People Management Skills is a plus considering this can expand in future role
