The project and the team
We develop modern Software Defined Networking (SDNs) and Network Operating systems-based solutions for the leading networking equipment manufacturers. We work with cloud-native, containerized software and services, as well as with user-space and kernel-space drivers for advanced network equipment such as switches, routers, and smart network interface cards (smart NICs). What else you should know:
The team consists of developers, QA Automation, and Dev Ops Engineers
We often work using hardware and tools provided by the client
Our projects can be managed by our EMs or directly by the client
We use Agile methodology (kanban/scrum) whenever possible
We work with clients from the US and Europe
We work on multiple interesting projects at the time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.
Your role
As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
Creating test strategies and test plans for various networking solutions
Designing and implementing tests for new and existing features in close collaboration with the development team
Maintaining and improving an automated CI/CD environment
Designing and automating new environment configurations to extend existing testbed capabilities
Working with client’s architects to ensure that your validation methods meet their expectations
Do we have a match?
As a Test Automation Engineer, you must meet most of the following criteria:
Proven experience with test automation of Hardware and Software-based Network traffic generators such as IXIA and/or Spirent
Have Python programming skills and experience with Python test frameworks
Good knowledge and experience with computer network configuration, technologies, and protocols (e.g., Ethernet, TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS…)
Knowledge of Computer Networks with emphasis on network routing protocols (BGP, IBGP, EBGP, ECMP, UDF-ECMP), link aggregation standards, tunnelling (VXLAN, GRE, VPN ...), and other (Qo S, ACL, PFC, ECN, DLB)
Good understanding of virtualization technologies (Containers, Virtual Machines, Orchestrators, virtual networks…) with emphasis on Docker, KVM, Open Stack, and Kubernetes
Experience in configuring network hardware (routers, switches, NICs …)
Experience in working with Linux and Git
Have Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
English (B2 level at minimum)
Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:
Experience with SONi C (or other NOS): configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and understanding of its architecture, features, and functionalities
Knowledge of network tools with an emphasis on network virtualization (OVS, Go BGP, FRRouting, etc.)
Quality Assurance experience
Experience in working with Software Houses
