POSITION DESCCRIPTION
To plan, organize and implement a face to face engaging instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop their English language skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
Develop lesson plans
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
Use relevant technology to support instruction
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
Provide appropriate feedback on students’ progress
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
Participate in department meetings
Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
Prepare tests, examination papers, and exercises
Devise, write and produce supplementary materials, including audio and visual resources
Attend and contribute to teacher development training sessions
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred (i.e. TESOL, EFL, Applied Linguistics, English)
Teacher training certificate required. International certification preferred (i.e. PCELT or equivalent) https://www.amideast.org/egypt/learn-english/teach-english
Minimum of three years teaching experience with adult learners
Curriculum development experience preferred
Knowledge of LMS and Smart Board technology as well as MS Office applications required
C2 level on the CEFR required (i.e. 95-100 TOEFL i BT score)/Minimum English language TOEIC Score of 960 or C2 equivalent
Near-native North American accent preferred
