Data & Tools Operations Analyst _VOIS
Role Purpose
As the Data & Tools Operations analyst within Vodafone’s Group Data & Analytics team, you are responsible for the continuous improvement of operations of analytics and visualisation data sets for for market Data & Analytics teams on Nucleus.
Supporting progammes delivering enhanced data and analytics capabilities on cloud and continuous improvement of capabilities and tools used for Reporting, Visualisation and Data Science, including cost optimisation.
You will work closely with technical/Delivery teams to ensure existing tool set and designes are cost effective. You will drive agile delivery approaches, including rapid delivery of Low Level Designs and occasional POCs. You will be working in a multi-market environment, with multiple versions of data models. The role requires candidates to closely work with business data users and wider Data & Analytics organisation to document data engineering requests and analyse how data is being used across Vodafone.
This role requires close collaboration with teams based across Europe and India. Candidates should have a good 1st hand knowledge of ETL/DW and data transfer tools, such as Big Q, CDF, GCS, cloud Composser, cloud Function, etc., and agile delivery methodologies. They should have experience working in a large enterprise and multi tier platforms. The role is mostly hands off, but involves a very detailed knowledge on the main tools and technologies used within GCP for Data Modelling and processing.

- Manage operations for analytics, visualisation and reporting
o Agree operating model with wider team
o Manage Operational Acceptance
- Capture operational requirements from Data & Analytics team
o Define data architecture
o Drive common data models
- Manage Operational Improvements
o Drive Continuous Improvement
o Manage Handoff between different Data Engineering teams
o Enable Monitoring of Data Products Updates
o Setup and Manage Data Operations
- Drive operational innovations
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- Strong analysis and influencing skills
- Experience of Data Arch and developing on GCP
- Experience of BI systems, data governance (preferably under Collibra) and compliance activities
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Degree qualified in data related subject
