What you will do Johnson Controls is a global company that produces high-tech heat pumps and cooling systems for the whole world. Our production in Holme, Aarhus, is organized in independent teams, where you will experience a high professional level and an informal atmosphere. We are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager who can secure that our products can flow across borders making sure that we are compliant in all aspects of customs regulations
You’ll play a pivotal role in driving our system compliance in SAP supporting global master data processes to ensure regulatory compliance fulfilling the latest governmental requirements and maintaining operational efficiency!
With the green agenda, our heat pump segment is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, which entails large investments that must be implemented and integrated into daily operations.
How you will do it As Trade Compliance Manager, you will work with global teams to keep up to date with all customs master data changes to ensure compliance and alignment with global teams. Support the production site in maintaining our AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) and Aviation security approvals as well as supporting the BTI (Binding Tariff Information) process ensuring clear understanding of process and main point of contact for any BTI requests and supervise and control the Non-preferential origin related processes.
You will drive system compliance and support maintenance of data in our system (SAP S4 Hana), including
HS code Classification – for core and external components as well as our finished goods products
Understand and support Country of Origin process to align with regulations
Support maintenance of HS codes and classification governance
Support LTSD (Long Term Supplier Declaration) management
Support Dual-Use Classification – for core and external components as well as our finished goods products
Support our continued ESG (Environmental, Social, & Governance) agenda
You’ll also be a valued partner at our production sites to support outsourcing.
What we look for
Several years of experience in trade compliance working with classification of different products (HS codes)
Significant understanding of the customs process and customs master data including, BTI and non-preferential origin shipment understanding
Knowledge about AEO, Aviation security approvals and relevant customs regulations like inward-processing procedures or duty exemption for certain product groups
Understanding the rules and regulations behind Country of Origin
Data driven – eye for details and able to manage lots of master data accurately and understand impact of having this correct
Positive approach to tasks and continuous improvement mindset, striving to improve current ways of working
Enjoys being a part of a team and promoting team environment.
Strong communication skills; ability to communicate across sites and work collaboratively with the global teams
Ability to find opportunities and lead change projects
PC Skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook. SAP knowledge is an advantage
Background in logistics working with customs master data
Proficient in English and Danish languages, both written and verbal
Understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, & Governance)
