As part of Global Sustainability, the Sustainable Innovation team focuses on sustainable innovation and value creation by leveraging sustainability with customers and partners. Sustainability is a strategic priority for IFF – and an area of high interest where we receive an increasing number of customer requests. As a Sustainability Customer Engagement Specialist, you will learn how IFF enables its customers to achieve their sustainability goals in a variety of areas and actively convey this value to them. There will be an emphasis on the development of tools and training to empower our internal stakeholders to ensure our customers’ sustainability needs can be met in a streamlined way. You will report to the Director of Sustainable Innovation and work closely with our Customer Engagement Specialist.
This is a temporary position, with the potential for renewal based on performance and business need.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Development of tools to better understand the nature of sustainability requests and how they are evolving
Management of training for internal stakeholders to better access and understand high level sustainability information
Handling and tracking of customer requests as needed
Working closely with commercial teams to better understand the sustainability needs of customers
Assisting in the developing and updating of communication material, templates and standards used to support and track sustainability-related requests.
Maintenance of communication channels such as Share Point sites
Other ad-hoc requests related to internal communication and administration

Qualifications
A degree within the fields of environmental, business, or social sciences with good results.
A proven interest in sustainability and are eager to have a positive impact on people and the planet.
You are well-organized, structured, with an eye for detail and capabilities of managing multiple ongoing tasks and projects.
You are a fast an eager learner.
Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Great communication skills
Fluency in spoken and written English is necessary.
We expect you to be self-driven, but at the same time not afraid of reaching out. It is essential that you can use your good interpersonal and communication skills to achieve results together with others. Experience working in a matrix organization and agile work culture is an advantage.
