Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be crucial in managing kitchen operations from 11 am to 10 pm, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. Our restaurant, nestled in the heart of Costa Rica, boasts 100 covers per service, with a delightful focus on Mediterranean cuisine enriched by influences from Israel, Turkey, Lebanon, and more. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Head Chef in crafting and executing a menu highlighting the richness of Mediterranean flavors.
Lead and inspire a talented team, ensuring seamless kitchen operations and upholding the highest culinary standards.
Manage day-to-day kitchen activities, including staff scheduling, coordination, and training.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, maintaining strict adherence to quality and plating standards.
Champion sustainable and environmentally conscious culinary practices, aligning with the values of our resort.
Ensure a smooth flow of operations during breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, exceeding the expectations of our diverse clientele.
Uphold stringent hygiene and safety standards in compliance with local regulations.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.
Requirements:
Culinary expertise with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine; familiarity with Israeli, Turkish, and Lebanese influences is a plus.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.
Proven experience in a sous chef role or a similar capacity.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
