Remote Paralegal - Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Bilingual Paralegal Virtual Assistant to support our clients with their legal needs. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, with a strong background in U.S. law firm operations. This role requires expertise in providing paralegal services such as legal research, document preparation, and case management. Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on various topics, including case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents, with a focus on U.S. law.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence in both languages.
  • Case Management: Assist in managing case files, including organizing and maintaining documents, coordinating with clients, and tracking case deadlines.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other parties, ensuring clear and effective communication in both languages.
  • Translation Services: Accurately translate legal documents and communications between English and Spanish.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, billing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure all documents and procedures comply with applicable U.S. laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Paralegal Certification: A paralegal certification or equivalent experience in a legal environment is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role, specifically within a U.S. law firm. Experience in a bilingual environment is a plus.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
  • Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₡3,599.85 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
