The Regional Process Owner OTC U.S is accountable to improve the end-to-end performance and quality of Smith+Nephew’s OTC, and particularly Invoice to Cash Process. The incumbent focuses on driving standardization and simplification in the business process, assesses and leverages internal and external best practices and manages a portfolio of improvement projects which will be closely aligned up/ and downstream with key stakeholders. The incumbent also oversees and improves quality and training related activities in the AR, and will have strict processes and governance in place to ensure the team is compliant and continuously improves.
What will you be doing?
Regional AR Process ownership for and close alignment with all up and downstream stakeholders
Oversight of quality and training related resources and programmes in the AR team
Leadership of improvement programmes in the AR field, aligned with the Smith and Nephew OTC Excellence programme
Assess internal and external best practices
Proposes concepts and business cases to improve the AR performance (measured by DSO, cost to serve, and customer ratification)
Works closely with the other regions, functions and the global system and IT counter parts to improve system utilization and performance
Create, develop, and implement tools and other methods to continuously improve quality, efficiency and customer experience
Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization, or the industry
Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective
Creates, implements and enforces company quality standards and improves and performance through audits
Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures
Review customer feedback to identify areas of improvement
Develop and monitors KPI’s along the customer, financial and the balance sheet spectrum
What will you need to be successful?
Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance-related curriculum strongly preferred.
10 + years of similar customer experience in Accounts Receivable
Supervisory experience required.
Advanced project management capabilities.
Strong ability to influence others, building credibility with peers and key stakeholders.
Team player with the ability to build relationships and influence team members and wider stakeholders.
Experience with Collections, Cash Applications, Credit, and other tools.
SAP, Microsoft Axapta (AX) and Get Paid experience preferred
Experience in delivery of service through shared service models would be an advantage.
Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment
Articulate and effective communication skills with an appreciation for cultural dynamics.
Outstanding facilitation skills and ability to manage business-related discussions, influence key stakeholders, and drive groups toward decisions.
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to initiate and drive changes in process, methodology, and other PMO-related areas.
Ability to lead and manage resources in a matrix organization that do not have a direct reporting relationship.
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks, and maintain focus amidst interruptions.
Ability to observe, analyze and give constructive feedback.
Provide feedback to collections team supervisors on training/coaching requirement for their employees.
