This position has responsibility lead multi workstream integration as well as specific workstreams to operationalize the project Processes and services, ensuring that the project delivers supply chain performance and processes to meet business requirements for our new Manufacturing site. The PMO (Project Management Office) function accelerates the delivery of project deliverables by driving program and project management excellence through insight-based decision-making. The PMO Manager will report to the PMO Director and support strategic project execution within the Project. The PMO Manager, Strategic Projects has the following key areas of responsibility to deliver program outcomes:
Ensure adherence to project management best practices
Drive decision making
Support program governance
Optimizes the program operating environment
Manage Project controller/schedulers for process and services subprogram
Maintain overall Project Program Management Plan
Responsibilities:
Co-Lead the project workstreams to meet or exceed the team goals by providing global cross-functional operational leadership in a matrix organization. This includes optimizing plans through constructive challenge and continuous dialog with the different functions to ensure all activities are aligned with team goals and objectives.
With support, drive insight generation, interpretation, and implementation to facilitate decision making and strategy refinement
Holds the cross-functional team accountable to develop and deliver the governance-approved project execution plan within budget, timelines, and scope
With support, navigate the team through the complexities of project execution to obtain strategy approval and secure necessary resources with key stakeholders and supply chain leadership team.
Deploy, manage and maintain updated core project management methodologies, tools, and frameworks to operationalize the strategy
Ensure the right team capabilities, working styles, resiliency, and ability to deliver under pressure with support
Foster team confidence and safeguard team performance through coaching and periodic reviews of team health with the project director
Execute visualization of the project management plan, ensuring clear knowledge management including:
Data/document repository
Team member list/contacts
Timeline maintenance
Dashboard/metric updates
Budget updates
Risk registers
Project action logs
Program/ workstream and project Governance
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or business management is required.
English fluent written and speaking is required. Level Advanced
A minimum of 5 years of Program Management leadership experience on large complex business transformation programs.
Strong knowledge of Medical Devices Manufacturing in Costa Rica environment.
Experience with Agile Methodology preferred.
Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., PMP, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence, etc. preferred.
This position is in Grecia, Costa Rica. Is 100% on site. This role may require up to 10% international travel.
