This is a permanent-full time position to work in our Cartago site, located in Zona Franca La Lima. 2 days of remote work per week, medical insurance, asociation, gym, cafeteria subsidy, free transportation and other, are part of our benefits package
Our Materials Planners are responsible for driving projects in supply chain and for supporting raw material supply processes. In this role the main responsibilities are the coordination with the sending and receiving site regarding raw materials, bill of materials, master data creation, among others.
Major Areas of Accountability
Raw material and packaging supply
Establish the appropriate structure to collaborate with sending sites to create the right communication/supply process
Drive periodic meetings to review progress and assess risks
Follow up for items for new machines to be transferred
Provide data in time for purchasing of new items
Issue orders in case of direct supply from vendors
Define and sustain governance on safety stocks
Coordination with warehouse to prepare validation materials
Coordination with Value Stream Planner on any issues related with raw materials availability
Supplier handling
Set contact with suppliers and establish communication methods
Collect and update all relevant purchasing data (MOQ, lead time)
Give suggestions for VMI/OP handling
Base data creation
Coordinate the creation of bill of materials, routings, and other related information to be able to model through our ERP system the requirement of raw materials.
Collaborate with Global Transfer Supply Chain specialist to ensure accuracy of BOM’s created
Modify base data when needed to match the correct dates and routings.
Global transfer project tracks
Participate and take actions in the transfer related projects.
CR follow up
Acceptance of Change Requests related to item/machine transfers
Checking CRs if all relevant materials are included
Follow up with Corp. Proc. Regarding necessary set ups
Close follow up on changes and discontinuation of raw materials for not transferred materials
Responsible of:
Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines
Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position
Support the positive EHS culture.
Essential Qualifications:
University Degree in Industrial Engineer or similar
Proficient english level, minimum B2
More than 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning related roles
Must have manufacturing environment related experience
Excell advanced skills is a must
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in medical devices company
Black Belt or Lean certification is a plus
APICS is a plus
