SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, performs and documents simple technical functions relating to test, layout, quality control, fabrication, modification, and assembly of mechanical equipment and/or components. Performs electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical or test technician duties in such areas as manufacturing, maintenance, quality, testing, engineering, and development where limited judgment is required. Constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, test and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs and documents repairs, testing, maintenance, fabrication, inspection, calibration of components, instruments, test apparatus, and associated specific discipline equipment.
- Sets up, adjust and operates laboratory/manufacturing equipment.
- May troubleshoot electrical, test, mechanical, facilities or hydraulic systems, components and equipment.
- When applicable, follows standard operating procedures for all tasks.
- Maintains clean and orderly work area.
- Has completed all appropriate safety and environmental hazard training.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma
- Technical education degree
- With 0-1 year of related experience and/or training.
